Week of November 17th

A full week to read Of Mice and Men.  You learned about the Great Depression, now meet George and Lennie, two migrant workers doing the best they can during that difficult time period.  You shared what you believe to be the basic elements of a good life.  Are George, Lennie, and the other characters in this book able to achieve those basic elements given the difficult times?  VOCAB BINGO IS BACK!!!

Yeahhhh!  You finally have your computers!  We’re on to Term #2 and beginning Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck.  This week is a short week.  No school on Tuesday, 11:30 release on Wednesday.  Get ready to learn about the Great Depression, migrant workers, and the hard times of men and women like those in Of Mice and Men

Homework this week is all about friendship, a theme that we’ll explore in OM&M.  This homework is due on Friday, November 14th.  omm_hw12
