Two More Days!!
March 31, 2009
There are only two more days before Term #3 closes! Many of you have the highest averages of the year at this point and I want you to keep it that way. However, too many of you have not handed in your Term #3 IP Essays!!! The original due was last Thursday and I then extended the date to this Monday. PLEASE complete your essays and get them to me as soon as possible. I will only deduct 20% from your grade if you can get me your essay by 3:45 on Thursday. After that time you will receive a “0″. Remember — your freshmen year GPA is approximately 28% of the total GPA that colleges will see. Your future is NOW!!
End of Term #3
March 29, 2009
Term #3 is coming to a close. Your English IP Essay is due Monday at 4:00pm. I’ll stay after school to provide you some extra time to complete it and print it out. Your IP Housing is due on Thursday. Make sure all your links work!!
Don’t forget your permission slips for Tuesday’s Field Trip. You’ll be dismissed from UMass Boston at about 1:30.
You can hand in your Xtra Credit for this week up until Thursday. Simply read this article on Lorrain Hansberry’s life and write a one paragraph response to the article. Confused? Ask me in class and we can discuss. Here is the article: lorrainehansberry1

Snow Day!
March 2, 2009
So we’ll start our week a day later! We’ll continue our reading of “A Raisin in the Sun”. Your homework requires you to answer questions from our previous reading. These questions, along with the previous 2 sets of questions, should all be in your binder as they will count toward your binder grade and create a study guide for the test. Here is the homework: raisinhw32 AND . . . here’s the extra credit: xtracred32
Remember that Wednesday is an 11:30 day. I’ll be returning work to you later this week and will send out new grades on Edline.
